02 About Department

Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering dept. of TULSIRAMJI GAIKWAD-PATIL College of Engineering and Technology, Polytechnic has been established in the year 2014 with the intake capacity of 60 students. Our department is providing the highest quality technology education, in the most cost-effective manner to aspiring students by offering well equipped laboratories to meet growing demands of industry. The department, established in the year 2014, runs the courses approved by

♦ Director of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra.

Also, department is providing industrial visit to various IT industries which gives industrial exposure to the students. Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering is a 3 year course commonly called the CSE. Computer Science and Engineering is the study of computational systems, which students are taught about computer technology (hardware and software). Computer science is also the study of processes that interact with data. Exposing students to the developments in the field of computing, thereby enabling them to meet the needs of the IT industry and research organizations in India and abroad. Departmental Library with a rich collection of books, E-Books and NPTEL digital collection. Campus Recruitment Training and Internship for students.

Vision

To impart quality technical education in the field of Computer Science & Engineering and develop the skill through modern teaching & learning method.

To provide learning environmental to face societal and industrial challenges of Computer Science & Engineering.

To ensure overall development of students and staff members by inculcating knowledge and professional ethics as a part of lifelong learning.

04 Programme Educational Objectives

PEO 1: Provide socially responsible, environment friendly solutions to Computer engineering related broad based problems adapting professional ethics.

PEO 2: Adapt state-of-the-art Computer engineering broad-based technologies to work in multi-disciplinary work environments.

PEO 3: Solve broad-based problems individually and as a team member communicating effectively in the world of work.

05 Program Specific Outcomes

PSO1: Computer Software and Hardware Usage: Use state-of-the-art technologies for operation and application of computer software and hardware.

PSO2: Computer Engineering Maintenance: Maintain computer engineering related software and hardware systems.

06 Program Outcomes

NBA has defined the following seven POs for an Engineering diploma graduate:

  • Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
  • Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
  • Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
  • Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
  • Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  • Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
  • Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
